Behavior Toolkit is designed for caregivers who may enter sensitive family information. Privacy, dignity, and caregiver control are central to the app.

Information you enter

The app may store information you choose to enter, such as behavior sessions, timestamps, duration, notes, context, medication changes, medication dose logs, sleep entries, observations, child profile names, app settings, and exported summaries.

Where app data is stored

Behavior Toolkit stores app data on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled and available, the app may use Apple iCloud and CloudKit to sync your app data across devices signed in to your Apple account.

Care Circle sharing

If you choose to use Care Circle sharing, selected app data may be shared through Apple's CloudKit sharing features with trusted contacts you invite. Only invite people you trust. You control whether you set up sharing.

Microphone and sound monitoring

If you choose to use the Sound Monitor feature, the app may request microphone access to analyze live audio for selected sound patterns. This feature is optional. The app should clearly request permission before using the microphone.

Exports and sharing

The app may let you create CSV files or PDF summaries. You decide whether to share those files. Email and text messages may not be encrypted, so sharing through a provider portal or other secure method may be safer for sensitive information.

Data selling and advertising

Behavior Toolkit does not sell your data. The app is not designed for advertising or third-party tracking.

Analytics and diagnostics

This initial policy is written for a privacy-first app without third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. If diagnostics, crash reporting, analytics, or third-party services are added later, this policy should be updated before release.

Deleting your data

You can delete data from within the app where supported. Data synced through iCloud or shared through Care Circle may also be affected by your Apple iCloud settings and CloudKit sharing controls.

Children's privacy

Behavior Toolkit is intended for use by parents, caregivers, and trusted adults. It is not intended for children to submit information directly without caregiver involvement.

Medical disclaimer

Behavior Toolkit is a tracking and communication tool. It does not diagnose, treat, predict, prevent, or replace professional care.
